Summary

It is very important that nursing facility administrators understand the regulatory expectations for skilled nursing facilities that participate in the federal Medicare and Medicaid programs and to have processes and tools in place to measure their facility's regulatory compliance ongoing and identify opportunities for quality improvement across all disciplines operating in their center. Following this presentation health care professionals working in long term care facilities will have a deeper understanding of the baseline regulatory standards/expectations of federal certification requirements at F-550 and the related regulatory tags. They will be able to apply the regulations to the provision of care and services rendered to their residents and have tools to measure their compliance through on-site quality assurance and performance improvement processes.

This program has been approved for Continuing Education for 1.0 total participant hours by NAB/NCERS—Approval #20210305-1-A63105-DL. Contact KistiBoatright@hcam.org for further information.
