Summary

This session will focus on Emergency Preparedness best practices for both SNF and AL facilities to help ensure survey success as well as promote excellent emergency management measures in all types of senior services providers. This session will cover:

  • Review of CMS Emergency Preparedness RoP Phase 3
  • Discussion of essential concepts pertaining to the disaster preparedness continuum including preparedness, mitigation, response and recovery
  • Review of E-Tags associated with enforcement of EP
  • “All Hazards Planning” and utilization of a trusted emergency management model known as the Nursing Home Incident Command System
