Summary

While clinical infection control practices are vital in preventing the spread of COVID-19, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment of care is equally important to minimize the spread of the virus. The revised standards for cleaning and sanitizing facility environments and equipment, EPA-approved disinfectants, linen handling, and new interventions in environmental sanitation are the focus of this session.
