Bedbugs are common cohabitants with humans around the world, and can infest resident’s clothing and belongings as they receive services in LTC facilities. There is a risk that resident-asociated bedbugs may enter and infest LTC facilities. This presentation will show what bedbugs look like, how they behave, where they live, how to look for them, and what to do if you find them in your facility. This session will cover:
- Recognizing bedbugs; inspection strategies.
- How to prevent bedbugs from entering the facility.
- How to treat spaces that may be infested.
